There aren't any real benefits too it. I don't know anyone who joined and benefited. The National Honor Society run by your high school is worth it. A small fee to join, a grade requirement, and help to volunteer. It helps a lot. Great chance to meet people and go volunteer with others! Plus, there are a few scholarships just for those students.
